I serve as the Animal Control Officer for Chester, Illinois. I accepted this position with the goal of maximizing efforts to place dogs into rescue programs and to reduce the euthanasia of these animals. Over the past two years, I have successfully found rescue placements for 300 dogs, and I have had to euthanize only 8 due to health-related issues.
