The Good Dog Rescue is a dog rescue located in Westminster, Colorado, about 6 miles south of Thornton, and is open Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Its mission is to save dogs from high-kill shelters and place them into foster homes, where they are vetted, spayed or neutered, and given time to adjust to a home environment before adoption. The rescue operates without a physical shelter location, relying entirely on a network of volunteer fosters, and every dog adopted through the organization receives free training sessions through The Good Dog Project. To date, the rescue has saved 636 dogs and counting.
