Colorado Horse Rescue Network in Rush, CO

Colorado Horse Rescue Network is an equine rescue based in Rush, Colorado, about 40 miles west of Colorado Springs, and is open Sunday from 12:00 to 12:01 AM. Established in 2013 by founding members who saw the need for a statewide organization to help horses in need, CHRN has assisted more than 2,000 horses through a central facility in Rush and a network of foster homes across the state. The organization rescues horses from a variety of situations to prevent them from entering the slaughter pipeline or abusive and neglectful homes, offering fully vetted, evaluated horses for adoption as well as resident horses available for sponsorship. As part of the Full Circle of Life Shelter Program, CHRN is committed to helping every horse regardless of its history or adoptability, including through its nationally recognized Buy Out Program instituted in 2015.
