JP Farm Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm animal sanctuary located in the rolling hills of Litchfield, Connecticut, about 20 miles southeast of Waterbury. Its name honors founders Janssen and Printy, while also embodying the ideas of Joy and Peace, and its mission is "Inspiring Compassionate Living" by educating visitors on healthy, happy, and compassionate living. The sanctuary is home to rescued farm animals such as cows, a turkey, and other formerly farmed animals, including stories like Bruce the Scottish Highland and Evan the Jersey cross, both nursed back to health after near-fatal illness, and Copper, a Jersey Holstein rescued from the dairy industry.
