Carroll County Humane Society in Carrollton, GA
The Carroll County Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Carrollton, Georgia, about 40 miles east of Atlanta, within Carroll County, where three other animal shelters or rescues also operate. Founded in 1970, CCHS has worked for decades to build a better community for people and animals alike. Beyond adoptions, the organization runs the West Georgia Spay/Neuter Clinic, offering low-cost spay/neuter services for dogs and cats, and manages the Carroll County Angel Fund, which helps ensure companion animals aren't euthanized or left to suffer simply because their caretakers face financial hardship. The society also supports the community through initiatives like the Empty Pet Bowl Food Pantry, distributing pet food to those in need at its Tuggle Street headquarters.
