Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester, PA

Brandywine Valley SPCA is a humane society located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, about 20 miles south of Wilmington, Delaware. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00–7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM–5:00 PM. As Pennsylvania's first no-kill, open-admission shelter, it operates as the largest animal welfare organization in the region and one of the only remaining open-access shelters, taking in lost pets, abandoned dogs and cats, cruelty victims, and pets in need of rehoming. The organization helps more than 27,000 animals a year and offers services beyond adoption, including a low-cost wellness clinic, spay/neuter services, and daycare and boarding.
