Friends with Paws Pet Rescue in Scranton, PA

Friends with Paws Pet Rescue is a rescue organization based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles south of Allentown. It operates as a foster-based small-breed dog rescue, taking in dogs from situations of neglect, stray, abuse, owner surrender, and rehoming, and places all of its adoptable dogs in loving foster homes within Lackawanna and Luzerne County until they find their forever families. Fosters provide everything the dogs need, including bedding, food, toys, and medical care, and the rescue reviews adoption applications on a first come, first serve basis while emphasizing that adoption is a lifetime commitment. The organization operates by appointment only and embraces the philosophy "Adopt! Don't shop."
