About this shelter

tails of hope animal rescue in Harrison City, PA

Tails of Hope Animal Rescue is a dog rescue organization based in Harrison City, Pennsylvania, about 20 miles west of Pittsburgh. Its mission is to elevate the standards of dog rescue, with a primary focus on rescuing and improving the lives of puppy mill dogs, local dogs in need, victims of animal cruelty and neglect, and mother dogs and puppies in dire circumstances. The organization is a 501(c)(3) with no paid employees, so every dollar donated goes directly toward the care, vetting, and rehabilitation of the animals it rescues. Volunteers are central to its work, supporting the rescue through fostering, transporting, fundraising, grant writing, and social media efforts.
