About this shelter

Canine Rescue of Central PA in Dillsburg, PA

Canine Rescue of Central PA is a dog rescue based in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, about 15 miles northeast of Harrisburg. Founded in 2002, it operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers dedicated to helping dogs in helpless situations, with a mission to get involved in as many cases as possible to provide shelter and new homes to as many dogs as they can. The organization also builds strategic partnerships with other rescues and animal welfare groups to share resources and raise public awareness of pet homelessness. As they put it, "Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever."
