Kindred Spirits Rescue Ranch is a rescue organization located in Darlington, Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles south of Weirton, WV. Founded in 2019, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit farm animal rescue and sanctuary that has grown into one of the largest animal sanctuaries in the Pittsburgh and tri-state region, caring for over 200 rescued cows, donkeys, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, waterfowl, and other farmed animals, most of whom were abused or neglected. The ranch collaborates with humane officers and other nonprofits to rescue animals in danger, and its mission is to provide an optimal lifelong home to the animals in its care while promoting compassion, kindness, and a positive impact on the community. It is entirely volunteer-run, receives no salaries, and relies on donations, sponsorships, and volunteer support to sustain its work.
