About this shelter

New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue in Collegeville, PA

New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) rescue organization based in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, about 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia. The group specializes in Australian Shepherds and Aussie mixes, evaluating dogs from select shelters and private owners across the United States and Canada who can no longer keep their pets. Dogs deemed suitable for placement are fostered in private homes so volunteers can get to know their personalities and energy levels before matching them with adopters—essentially acting as a "doggie dating service" to ensure a good fit between dog and family. The organization relies on donations, volunteer foster homes, and fundraising efforts to help cover rescue costs that often exceed adoption fees.
