About this shelter
The Sanctuary at Haafsville in Breinigsville, PA
The Sanctuary at Haafsville is a no-kill animal shelter in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, located about 10 miles east of Allentown. For more than 15 years, this volunteer-driven organization has rescued and rehabilitated cats and dogs, saving over 15,000 animals and placing them in adoptive homes. It partners with overcrowded shelters, rescues animals from natural disasters, and accepts pets from owners who need to relinquish them, all while adhering to a no-kill philosophy that means animals are never euthanized to create space. The Sanctuary is open for visitors and adoptions on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and it also runs community programs such as PawsAbilities alongside volunteer and educational service opportunities.
