CNY SPCA is a humane society located in Syracuse, New York, roughly 4 miles southwest of the city. It offers adoption programs for dogs, cats, and small critters, along with a working cats program, foster care, a vet center, animal welfare services, dog control and lost pet assistance, and a pet food pantry. The organization is guided by the belief that adopting a pet not only gives that animal a home but also opens up space to help save another animal in need. The shelter is open Tuesday 1:00–6:00 PM, Wednesday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, Thursday 1:00–6:00 PM, Friday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, and Saturday 11:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Adoption process

Applicants must be at least 21 with valid photo ID, complete a full adoption application before visiting/adopting an animal, and if renting must provide landlord permission (homeowners are verified via town assessment); all dogs and cats are spayed/neutered and dogs must be licensed with the town before leaving the shelter.
