Almost Home Animal Rescue and Adoption is a nonprofit rescue organization based in Patchogue, New York, founded in 2007. It is run by dedicated volunteers whose mission is to rescue and re-home unwanted and abandoned animals from private homes and municipal shelters, placing them into loving, responsible homes, and it also helps prevent unnecessary surrenders through its Training Wheels® program. The rescue is open to the public Monday and Friday from 2:00–7:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM, and it is located about 30 miles north of Bridgeport, CT.
