About this shelter

Bainbridge Decatur County Humane Society in Bainbridge, GA

The Bainbridge Decatur County Humane Society, located at 808 Zorn Road in Bainbridge, Georgia, serves Decatur County and the surrounding community roughly 35 miles southeast of Tallahassee, FL. Though it operates as a cat rescue, the organization also cares for and adopts out dogs, working closely with local Animal Control to take in strays and owner-surrendered pets. It relies heavily on donations, memberships, and volunteers, and places special emphasis on its longer-term residents, affectionately called "Old Timers," offering reduced adoption fees to help these animals find homes. The shelter also promotes spaying and neutering as a core part of responsible pet ownership and works to reduce pet overpopulation in the community.
