Gracious Friends Animal Sanctuary is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 animal shelter located in Heuvelton, New York, about 100 miles south of Syracuse. Situated in the Black Lake region of Northern New York, it has cared for abused, neglected, seized, abandoned, and surrendered domesticated animals since 2002, offering rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and, for some, a loving lifelong home. The sanctuary cares for dogs, cats, and barnyard animals, and relies on donations, volunteers, and foster homes to support its work. It is currently raising money to build a new adoption shelter.
