Akron Rescue Cats, Inc. 67 is a cat rescue and sanctuary located in Akron, New York, about 20 miles southwest of Buffalo. It was founded by a group of cat lovers dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating cats given up on by society, specializing in the most vulnerable feline cases—senior cats, cats with special needs, and feral or fearful cats who have been neglected or mistreated. The organization provides veterinary care, behavioral support, and a safe environment where cats can heal, and while many cats are adoptable, some remain in long-term sanctuary care due to age, health, or behavioral challenges. The shelter is open for visitors Monday through Thursday from 5:00–7:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00–4:00 PM.
