His Hands Extended Sanctuary is an animal shelter located in Saint Paris, Ohio, about 25 miles southwest of Dayton, OH. Recognized as a 501(c)3 state and federal charity and serving as the Humane Society in Champaign County, its mission is “No More Homeless Pets.” Dogs and cats arrive here after being abandoned, abused, or born in puppy mills, and every animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and given flea treatment as the first step toward a new life; the sanctuary also operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Animals live in a cage-free environment, with dogs housed in large chain-linked yards and a heated kennel and cats kept in roomy open-area enclosures with trees, toys, and water to play in. The shelter is open Monday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, and Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
