PAWS Adoption Center in Monroe, OH
PAWS Adoption Center is a no-kill animal shelter located in Monroe, Ohio, about 25 miles south of Cincinnati. Founded in 1980 as the Progressive Animal Welfare Society, PAWS has found permanent homes for over 17,000 abandoned, neglected, and homeless dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies. Most of the animals in its care—over 95%—were pulled from traditional shelters where they were at extreme risk of euthanasia, and PAWS provides them with spay/neuter services and medical treatment before placing them into loving homes. The shelter is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00–6:00 PM and Saturday from 12:00–5:00 PM.
