Operating under the motto "Helping Those Without a Voice," its mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in society, safeguarding, rescuing, sheltering, healing, and adopting out animals in need while advocating for them and inspiring community compassion. The shelter facilitates adoptions of dogs, cats, and other animals, and also runs volunteer and foster care programs along with a low-cost veterinary clinic. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Adoption process

Adoptions are completed in person at the shelter: you fill out a questionnaire, tour the available animals, meet the one you're interested in, and then pay the adoption fee to take them home the same day. Applicants must be at least 18, show photo ID with current address, and renters need landlord approval or a lease showing pets are allowed; a home check may sometimes be required.
