NNHS - New Nodaway Humane Society in Maryville, MO

NNHS - New Nodaway Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter located in Maryville, Missouri, about 40 miles south of St. Joseph, MO, making new best friends since 1985. Its mission is to give shelter and care to lost, abused, or unwanted dogs and cats, to advocate the humane treatment of all animals, and to reduce overpopulation through a successful spaying and neutering program. The shelter also provides community services such as city dog tag licensing for Maryville residents and a foster program for animals needing extra care outside the shelter. NNHS is open Tuesday 1:00–5:00 PM, Wednesday 1:00–7:00 PM, Friday 1:00–5:00 PM, and Saturday 1:00–5:00 PM, and welcomes walk-in adopters as well as advance applications from those traveling to adopt.

Submit a completed dog or cat adoption application (in person or emailed); adoptions are first-come, first-served pending an approved application, and if approved you sign an adoption agreement along with a spay/neuter and rabies contract; bully breed adoptions may require additional questions, a home visit, and a meet-and-greet if other dogs are in the home.
