Unchained Melodies Dog Rescue is a dog rescue located about 3 miles south of Columbia, Missouri, open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. Founded in 2015 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it is devoted to freeing dogs from life on a chain, isolation in a pen, and other inhumane conditions across Missouri. The organization rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs who have been forgotten, abused, or left behind, providing medical care, behavioral support, and ultimately loving indoor homes, while also working through community outreach, education, advocacy, and spay/neuter initiatives to address the root causes of neglect and overpopulation.
