About this shelter

Scrapper’s Rescue Corporation in Niles, MI

Scrapper's Rescue Corporation is a rescue organization located in Niles, Michigan, about 10 miles south of South Bend, IN. Founded in 2004 by Tim Heiser, known as "Scrapper," the organization rescues animals and trains them as service dogs for veterans and the disabled, a mission his mother Patricia has continued in his honor since his passing. Beyond rescue and service dog training, Scrapper's offers obedience training, microchipping, nail trimming, and animal first aid, supporting its work through a resale shop, "Scrapper's Treasures," in downtown Niles along with fundraising and donations. The shelter is open Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
