Haven Hills Animal Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal shelter located at 11465 Morgansburg Rd. in Bealeton, Virginia, about 40 miles northeast of Alexandria, VA. Founded by the Garney family, it provides lifelong care to rescued farm animals while offering children, families, homeschoolers and community groups hands-on opportunities to volunteer, feed, ride and interact with the animals through field trips, camps and group visits. The sanctuary emphasizes creating a welcoming environment where people of all ages and abilities can participate and experience the sense of accomplishment that comes from caring for another living being. It's open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM, Wednesday from 3:00–6:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
