About this shelter

Forest County Humane Society in Crandon, WI

Forest County Humane Society is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) humane society located in Crandon, Wisconsin, about 90 miles southeast of Green Bay. Established in 1998, it operates without any county, state, or federal funding, relying solely on donations to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for homeless, neglected, and abused dogs, cats, and other small companion animals. Every animal receives veterinary care before adoption, including spaying/neutering when old enough, vaccines and boosters, a Lyme disease test, a heartworm check, and deworming. The shelter is open Wednesday through Friday from 2:00–6:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, with other hours available by appointment.
