About this shelter
Haven of Hope Rescue in Piedmont, OK
Haven of Hope Rescue is a dog rescue organization based in Piedmont, Oklahoma, open Friday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and located about 20 miles east of Edmond, OK. Founded in 2009, the all-volunteer, self-funded 501(c)3 has rescued hundreds of dogs from abusive, neglectful, and dumped situations throughout the Piedmont/Okarche area and beyond, focusing on "last chance" dogs with nowhere else to turn. They accept dogs regardless of age, breed, size, or temperament, with a special commitment to senior and special-needs animals, and are working to expand their facility to house up to 40 dogs at a time. The organization is run by Lori and Richard Jones, who also share the story of one of their rescues, Tree the Treeing Walker Coonhound, through a pair of children's books.
