Rawhide Rescue in Warren, NJ
Rawhide Rescue is a dog rescue organization based in Warren, New Jersey, about 8 miles southeast of Edison, NJ. Founded in July 2001, it operates entirely through an all-volunteer network of foster homes rather than a physical shelter, serving Central New Jersey and parts of New York. The group rescues dogs of all ages and conditions—including seniors and those needing extensive veterinary care—works to lower shelter euthanasia rates, and holds regular adoption events at PetSmart locations where prospective adopters can meet the animals in person. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Rawhide Rescue relies solely on adoption fees and donations to cover veterinary bills, food, and care for its dogs, with every volunteer serving without pay.
