About this shelter
BASS Animal Rescue in Ringwood, NJ
BASS Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Ringwood, New Jersey, about 15 miles south of Paterson. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 that has been in operation since 1996, run by a dedicated group of volunteers caring for homeless cats and dogs through a foster home network rather than a traditional shelter facility. Adoptable animals are shown at offsite locations, including PetSmart in Wayne and Petco in Kinnelon, and the group offers special adoption pricing such as reduced fees for senior cats and no adoption fee for qualifying seniors 65 and over. BASS is open for visits daily from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
