About this shelter
Big Fluffy Dog Rescue in La Vergne, TN
Big Fluffy Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization based in La Vergne, Tennessee, about 15 miles southeast of Murfreesboro. It's dedicated to helping giant-breed and mixed-breed dogs in need, specializing in Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands and their mixes, while also welcoming an assortment of "honorary fluffies" that don't fit the traditional big, fluffy mold. Its dogs come to rescue for many reasons—abandonment at high-kill shelters, owner surrenders, or failed work as livestock guardian dogs—and the organization relies on volunteers across the eastern half of the United States to help these dogs find homes. Its mission for every dog is the same: a safe, happy home where they are a well-loved member of the family.
