Best Friends Sanctuary in Jamestown, TN
Best Friends Sanctuary is a no-kill animal shelter located in Jamestown, Tennessee, roughly 70 miles southeast of Knoxville, serving Fentress County. It is open to visitors Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is entirely donation-dependent, it took in over 600 stray dogs and cats in 2024 and works to prevent cruelty, relieve suffering, and educate the community, while also offering a low-cost spay and neuter program for income-qualifying local families. Best Friends Sanctuary places animals for adoption and partners with other shelters to find homes for the strays it rescues.
