About this shelter

Rise Above Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Pasadena, MD

Rise Above Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a rescue organization located in Pasadena, Maryland, about 10 miles north of Baltimore. It became an official nonprofit animal rescue in 2018, though its rescue efforts date back many years before that, with a focus on the welfare of animals that need the most help—those that are sick, injured, elderly, feral, or require extensive medical care. The organization runs a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program to humanely reduce feral cat populations by ending the reproduction cycle, and it relies on a team of fosters and volunteers to support its work and adoptable pets.
