About this shelter

White Wolf Sanctuary in Tidewater, OR

White Wolf Sanctuary is an animal shelter located near the small town of Tidewater, Oregon, about 50 miles southeast of Eugene, in a coastal mountain setting. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The sanctuary operates as a Conservation Through Education facility, caring for eleven resident ambassador wolves who have come from a variety of circumstances and live out their lives in enclosed, spacious natural habitats with ponds, shelters, trees, and meadows. Rather than a traditional adoption model, the sanctuary offers guided tours by appointment and symbolic wolf "adoptions" that help fund the animals' care, with a broader mission to protect wild wolf habitats and support the long-term recovery of wolves in the wild.

Adopting from White Wolf Sanctuary

Adoption process

Their "adoption" is a symbolic sponsorship program: you choose a resident wolf and donate $25 for one month up to $300 for a full year to help support its care; it does not involve taking an animal home.
