About this shelter
Uffda Fund Animal Rescue in Cando, ND
Uffda Fund Animal Rescue is a grassroots, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Cando, North Dakota, about 100 miles west of Minot, and is open 24 hours every day of the week. It was founded to help homeless and abandoned cats and dogs in the Towner County area, assisting with veterinary costs such as spay/neuter, vaccinations, and health restoration so animals can find safe, loving forever homes. The rescue's name honors Uffda, a beloved red tabby cat whose owners donated funds in his memory after his passing in 2008, inspiring a group of volunteers to form the organization. Rather than operating a physical shelter, Uffda Fund relies on a small network of foster homes to provide temporary housing, socialization, and care for pets in need.
