About this shelter

Buck Wild Animal Rescue and Wildlife Rehab in Ingram, TX

Buck Wild Animal Rescue and Wildlife Rehab is a rescue organization located in Ingram, Texas, about 70 miles southeast of San Antonio. Established in 2016, it's a 501(c)(3) non-profit built on the "4 R's" — Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release, and Rehome — serving Kerr, Bandera, Medina, Bexar, Kendall, Gillespie, Real, and Edwards counties. The facility keeps two separate sides: a domestic side housing surrendered pets like birds, pigs, bunnies, tortoises, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and kittens and puppies available for adoption, and a wildlife side caring for deer fawns, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, foxes, bobcats, ringtail cats, and porcupines with minimal human contact so they can be released back into the wild. It's open seven days a week, Monday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, is run entirely by volunteers with no paid staff, and relies fully on public donations to fund its animal care.
