About this shelter
Happy Day Humane Society in Big Spring, TX
Happy Day Humane Society is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter located in Big Spring, Texas, dedicated to giving homeless and unwanted dogs a second chance at a happy life through adoption. It was founded on the vision of Margaret Lloyd and Dorothy Garrett, who started the Howard County Humane Society in Big Spring years ago on a shoestring budget to help neglected animals in the community, and today the shelter carries on their legacy by caring for more than 100 dogs at any given time as they wait for forever homes. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and it sits about 190 miles northwest of Roswell, New Mexico.
