About this shelter
Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption in Northwood, NH
Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption is a dog rescue based in Northwood, New Hampshire, about 15 miles northeast of Rochester. Since 2011, the organization has rescued thousands of dogs from southern kill shelters and transported them to New Hampshire, where each dog is examined by a veterinarian, microchipped, and given a New Hampshire Health Certificate before being placed in a forever home. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, Mary's Dogs stays connected with adopters after placement, offering guidance on responsible pet ownership and fostering a close-knit community of adopters, volunteers, and donors. The rescue is currently running a capital campaign to purchase a new facility after facing a substantial rent increase at its current location.
