About this shelter

For the Howl of it Animal Rescue in Fruita, CO

For the Howl of it Animal Rescue is a rescue organization based in Fruita, Colorado, located about 170 miles south of Farmington, NM, and open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Making new best friends since 2018, the organization has rescued and rehomed dogs and cats through adoption and foster care. Its adoption philosophy centers on the idea that adopting or fostering not only gives a deserving animal a loving home but also helps decrease demand for puppy mills and large-scale breeding operations that prioritize profit over animal welfare. Because foster placements are often limited, the rescue relies heavily on community members willing to foster or adopt to keep saving animals in need.
