About this shelter

Parker's Animal Rescue in Durango, CO

Parker's Animal Rescue (PAR) is a foster-based dog rescue organization located in Durango, Colorado, roughly 40 miles southwest of Farmington, NM. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, PAR operates without a physical shelter facility, instead relying on a network of foster homes to care for dogs pulled from overcrowded shelters and rescue situations across the Southwest, including transports from as far as Houston. The organization emphasizes individualized care and responsible placement, offering adoption, fostering, and forever-foster arrangements for dogs with special needs, and provides supplies, veterinary care, and ongoing support to its foster families throughout the process.
