Haven Pet Center is a no-kill adoption center in Riverside, California, offering care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need. Formerly known as Ramona Animal Shelter Incorporation, it is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that partners with open-intake, high-risk shelters throughout Riverside County as well as accepting owner surrenders, and it exclusively accommodates owner-relinquished animals rather than strays. The center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 to 7:00 PM and sits roughly 70 miles south of San Diego, CA. Beyond adoptions, Haven Pet Center runs a nonprofit animal hospital, a low-cost spay/neuter and vaccine clinic, pet boarding, and volunteer and foster programs to engage the community in animal welfare.

Adopting from this shelter

Adoption process

Visit the shelter in person to view adoptable animals in the cattery or kennels, staff arrange a meet-and-greet and go over background information, and once you choose a pet you complete adoption paperwork at the front desk; all adoptables are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped upon adoption.
