ARF - Animal Rescue Friends of Idyllwild is a rescue organization located in Idyllwild, California, about 70 miles south of San Diego. Known as "the little rescue with the big heart, home of love and second chances," it has served the Idyllwild mountain community since 1994 as a volunteer, grassroots, non-profit organization. Its mission is to rescue dogs and cats that have been abandoned, lost, or whose owners can no longer care for them, providing foster care and veterinary care, including spay/neuter and vaccinations, until forever homes are found. ARF is open Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and it also assists the community with lost and found pets and education on responsible pet ownership.
