About this shelter

Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE) Shelter in Melbourne, AR

Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE) Shelter is located in Melbourne, Arkansas, about 70 miles east of Jonesboro, and is open Saturdays from 9:00 AM to noon, with visits outside those hours available by appointment. As a rescue organization, ICARE takes in and cares for dogs and cats, matching them with adoptive homes through an application and meet-and-greet process. Beyond adoption, the group supports the community with low-cost spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, and dog wash events, and it also runs the Paws & Claws Thrift Store in Melbourne to help fund its work. ICARE relies on foster homes and volunteers to help animals thrive while they wait to be adopted.
