Suffolk Humane Society in Suffolk, VA

Suffolk Humane Society is a humane society located in Suffolk, Virginia, about 15 miles east of Chesapeake, VA, and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Founded in 2007 by a group of committed volunteers, it partners with the City of Suffolk's Animal Care Center to promote adoptable cats, dogs, bunnies, ferrets, and other pets, and to educate the community on spaying and neutering to address pet overpopulation. The organization works to end euthanasia as a form of population control through education, affordable spay/neuter programs, and adoption and foster initiatives, including a partnership with the Virginia Beach SPCA's Neuter Scooter for low-cost spay/neuter services. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it relies on donations, volunteers, and foster parents to support homeless animals in the Suffolk community.
