CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter located in Columbus, Ohio, about 9 miles southwest of the city, serving the people and animals of Central Ohio. It provides safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and works to reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, education, and community outreach. The shelter is open Monday 12:00–2:00 PM and 6:30–8:00 PM, Tuesday 12:00–2:00 PM and 6:30–8:00 PM, Wednesday 12:00–2:00 PM, Thursday 12:00–2:00 PM and 6:30–8:00 PM, Friday 12:00–2:00 PM and 6:30–8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00–4:00 PM. CHA relies on adoption, volunteer, and donation programs, including food and supply drives, memorial gifts, and an emergency medical fund, to support its ongoing animal care work.
