About this shelter
Manchester Animal Shelter in Manchester, NH
Manchester Animal Shelter is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, about 2 miles southeast of the city, and is open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Operated by Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, it has served the Manchester community since 1996, providing care, medical attention, and safe shelter for animals needing a fresh start, with more than 1,500 animals passing through each year. The shelter supports both dogs and cats and emphasizes second chances, offering programs like the Pet Food Pantry to help families keep their pets during hardship and Pets for Vets, which waives adoption fees for approved veterans. Its work is also backed by community spay and neuter initiatives, volunteer support, and donations that fund daily food, medical care, and enrichment for animals awaiting adoption.
