City of Great Falls Animal Shelter in Great Falls, MT
The City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is the municipal animal shelter serving the citizens and domesticated animals of Great Falls, Montana, located approximately 2 miles south of the city. Its mission is to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of domesticated animals and citizens in the community through education about responsible pet ownership. The shelter works with rescue partners and adoption events to re-home every adoptable animal, and does not euthanize domestic animals due to space or length of stay; animal control issues are handled separately by the Great Falls Police Department, with GFAS caring only for the domestic animals. The shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00–4:30 PM, Thursday from 2:00–4:00 PM, and Saturday from 12:00–4:00 PM.
