Dakin Humane Society is a humane society located in Springfield, Massachusetts, open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:30 to 3:00 PM. It is a community-supported animal welfare organization providing shelter, medical care, spay/neuter services, and behavioral rehabilitation for more than 20,000 animals and people each year. Dakin operates a spay/neuter clinic, an animal transport program, a thrift shop called Home Again, a kitten street team, and pet food aid, along with adoption programs for cats and dogs, including barn cats and community animals. Adoption process

Visit the adoption center in Springfield, MA Tuesday through Saturday from 12:30–3:00 p.m. (no appointment needed) to meet available animals; adoption fees are due in full at the time of adoption, and a nonrefundable $25 hold fee can be paid to reserve an adult dog or cat for up to 24 hours.
