The Humane Society of Greenwood is a fully tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization chartered by the IRS, located in Greenwood, South Carolina, about 45 miles north of Greenville. Through life-saving strategies, it advocates for every animal in its care while serving as a resource to the community, offering adoption, spay/neuter, and community cat programs for dogs and cats. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, with hours of 12:00–5:00 PM Tuesday through Friday and 12:00–7:00 PM on Saturday. It was named the No Kill South Carolina 2020 Organization of the Year and partners with organizations such as Petco Love, Best Friends, Maddie's Fund, and PetSmart Charities.
