The organization offers adoptable dogs, cats, and community pets, along with foster, volunteer, and pet owner assistance programs, including veterinary services and support for community cats. Visitors can stop by Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Adopting from Jacksonville Humane Society

Adoption process

Visitors interested in adopting can stop by the Adoption Center in person (optionally joining an online waitlist first), meet with an adoption counselor who helps them select a pet, and complete the process which takes at least an hour; adopters must be 18 or older, bring ID and payment, and pay a standard adoption fee that includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and other services.
