The Humane Society of Pasco County Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit shelter based in Spring Hill, Florida, about 30 miles south of Tampa. Founded in 1982, it began when a small group of volunteers cleared rural property in West Pasco County near Hudson to build a home for homeless animals. Cats and puppies are housed in a renovated mobile home that offers a bright, friendly environment, while dogs enjoy a large fenced area shaded by mature trees. The shelter is open Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 PM and has placed hundreds of dogs and cats into loving homes over the past two decades.
