San Diego Humane Society's San Diego Campus is located in San Diego, California, about 4 miles southeast of the city center, and is open daily Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As a humane society, it provides lifesaving care to more than 40,000 pets and wildlife each year through programs that strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty and neglect, and offer medical care and community education. Its Kitten Nursery cares for more than 2,000 orphaned kittens annually, and Project Wildlife serves as the primary resource for wild animal rehabilitation in San Diego County. The organization also runs a Behavior Center, youth programs, and community support services to help pet families facing challenges keep their animals.
